<image:title>Biography - On location near Mazār-e Sharīf, northern Afghanistan.</image:title>
<image:caption>Daniel Kennedy’s work has won numerous awards. He has been recognized by both clients and journalists for his earned-news-oriented and honest approach to public relations and editorial services. Prior to establishing Daniel Kenedy Communications Services, his named international PR, marketing communications and messaging consultancy, and later opening a well-received editorial subsidiary services business called USA Writing Services, Daniel Kennedy served as worldwide director of media relations for Simon & Schuster publishing, when it was the world's largest publisher; as interim national PR director for the American Lung Association; as an award-winning VP–Marketing Communications for the Ruder Finn Public Relations agency; as senior project manager of company communications for JCPenney - New York, during the company's most successful years; as Asst. Director of PR for Kurt Salmon Associates, the international management consultancy; as a staff producer for the Merrill Lynch corporate television studio; and, as a recent university graduate, as an assistant on the PR agency team whose main client was blues singer-guitarist B.B. King. Kennedy has taught public relations, writing for PR and introduction to advertising as an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College - City University of New York, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Marymount Manhattan College and seminars at the New York School of Interior Design and the American Women's Economic Development Corp., all in New York City. Daniel Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Communications with a minor in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) Degree in Media/Communications from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He is also a certified Instructor of "Business English as a Second Language" (ESL) by Oxford Seminars (with honors). An accomplished still photographer, Kennedy is a past member of the Publicity Club of New York and the North American Airlines Public Relations Association. During his career, Daniel Kennedy has been included in Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the Media and Communications, and Who's Who in Finance and Industry, among others. Few PR consultancies can speak of propelling a modest but well positioned exhibition of textiles made by war-exiled Bosnian refugees and shown at a NYC design college gallery to be featured on CNN, in the Associated Press, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and 20 national magazines. Or, starting with a single phone call, to organize a live TV audience for clients with the Pope at The Vatican. Or, sit on a carpet with an Afghan provincial Governor and convince him to support a project benefiting women in a Burka culture, and then create and launch in the USA a brand specifically for Afghan women in business. Or, who have been sought out for branding consulting for the national telecom in a former Soviet Republic. Daniel Kennedy has worked effectively across cultures with award-winning professional success in southern Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, the former USSR (Latvia), Afghanistan, Austria, Liechtenstein, Romania and The Vatican as well as a variety of business, travel, museum, design, technology and architecture clients in the United States.</image:caption>
